Suguna College of Engineering, Coimbatore was established by the Suguna Charitable Trust founded in the year 1973 by the leading Industrialist Sri. G. Ramaswamy. The institution has been producing several outstanding engineers who have extensive exposure to various practical aspects of industry. The college was established in order to meet the emerging industrial needs for qualified manpower and provide adequate facilities for youth to become efficient, skillful engineers with technical knowhow.

Under the guidance and patronage of Sri. V. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Correspondent and Smt. Suguna Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, the college has developed significantly with facilities and resources that are exceptional in every way. The mission is to educate and impart technical knowledge to students from various sections of society, with special focus on those from rural areas, so that they become enlightened and empowered individuals, thereby improving the living standards of their families and society. The institution aims to impart futuristic technical education and inculcate high moral standards and discipline.

Imparting Engineering Education with a difference
The college offers B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and B.Tech Artificial Intelligence & Data Science under the Anna University syllabus. The mission of the college is to educate and impart technological knowledge to students. Sri V. The campus also has excellent sports infrastructure with an Indoor playing arena for Badminton and Volleyball. It also has basket Ball and Tennis Courts and an excellent synthetic athletic track. A lot of importance is given to sports and students continuously excel in various competitions.

Dr. V. Damodara Naidu, Principal
A B.Tech graduate in Mechanical Engineering who holds an M.Tech degree in Production Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from JNTUH, Dr. V. Damodara started his career with Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bengaluru. He played a major role there in the manufacturing of Radar Jammers. Later, Dr. Damodara worked for a startup in the telecom, defense and aerospace equipment manufacturing sector where he became the profit center head. He has implemented.
