IIM Ahmedabad Dubai Launches 2-Year Executive MBA Program

IIM Ahmedabad launches a two-year Executive MBA at its Dubai campus for experienced professionals, combining weekend classes, Ahmedabad residency, international immersion and AI-integrated management learning.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) launches a two-year Executive MBA programme at its Dubai campus, expanding its academic offerings for experienced professionals in the UAE, Gulf region and India.

The programme is designed for senior professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and executives seeking to strengthen their strategic management and leadership capabilities while continuing their careers. It is delivered as a part-time, in-person programme across six terms.

The Executive MBA combines weekend in-person classes at the Dubai campus with a seven-day residency at IIMA’s Ahmedabad campus and an international immersion experience. This structure allows participants to continue working while gaining exposure to IIMA’s academic environment and international business perspectives.

The curriculum focuses on cross-functional decision-making, enterprise leadership, strategic thinking and emerging technologies, with Artificial Intelligence integrated into the learning experience. Participants also undertake a faculty-supervised executive capstone project addressing real-world business challenges.

The programme seeks to help experienced professionals move beyond functional roles and develop a broader understanding of business strategy, leadership and enterprise-level decision-making.

IIMA’s Dubai Executive MBA is intended for professionals with substantial work experience. Applicants are required to have at least six years of full-time professional experience, including a minimum of three years in managerial or leadership roles, along with a recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Candidates can apply through accepted admission tests, including GMAT, GRE, Executive Assessment (EA) or the IIMA Admission Test, subject to the programme’s admission requirements.

The Executive MBA becomes the latest academic offering at IIMA’s Dubai campus, which also offers a one-year MBA. The Dubai campus, inaugurated in September 2025, represents IIMA’s international expansion and provides management education for professionals in the wider region.

Through the new programme, IIMA aims to extend its case-based management education and leadership development approach to a global cohort of experienced professionals based in Dubai and surrounding markets.
