UP Scholarship 2026-27 Offers Aid as Applications Remain Open

UP Scholarship 2026–27 offers financial assistance to eligible students across school and higher education. Fresh Dashmottar applications for UG, PG, diploma and ITI courses remain open until October 31.

The Uttar Pradesh government opens the UP Scholarship 2026–27 schemes to provide financial assistance to students pursuing school and higher education. The programme covers students from pre-matric, post-matric and Dashmottar categories and aims to reduce financial barriers to continuing education.

Students can apply through the official UP Scholarship portal, with eligibility and deadlines varying according to their class, course and application category. The scheme covers students belonging to General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes and notified minority communities.

The scholarship provides financial support towards educational expenses. Under the pre-matric category, eligible students receive annual assistance ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹7,000, depending on their category. For post-matric students, maintenance allowances range from ₹230 to ₹1,200 per month, based on the course group and applicable conditions.

Students generally need to fulfil Uttar Pradesh domicile requirements and study in a recognised institution or course covered under the scheme. The programme includes students in Classes 9 and 10, Classes 11 and 12, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, diploma and ITI courses and other recognised higher-education programmes.

Applicants are required to submit their details online and complete the applicable verification process through their educational institutions and authorities. Scholarship payments are transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer to eligible students' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

The application schedule differs across categories. For Classes 9 to 12, fresh applications are conducted from August 11 to September 21, 2026, while renewal applications run from August 11 to August 25.

For students pursuing graduation, postgraduate, diploma, ITI and other courses under the Dashmottar category, fresh applications are open from September 15 to October 31, 2026. Renewal applicants in this category have until October 15, 2026 to complete their applications.

Students applying for the scholarship are advised to select the correct category, verify their academic and personal details and complete the required institutional verification within the prescribed timeline. The scholarship application process is conducted online through the official UP Scholarship portal.
