ISTF scholarship opens for Malaysian Indian students

The Indian Scholarship and Trust Fund (ISTF) will establish a new scholarship program for Malaysian students of Indian descent which will begin in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The High Commission of India Kuala Lumpur launched this program to provide funding support for Malaysian students who meet the program's eligibility criteria.

The scholarship program provides funding to students who study full-time at accredited diploma and undergraduate programs which are offered by universities and colleges and polytechnic institutions.

The program shows how Indian organizations in Malaysia work to support educational development and to help students with their financial needs.

The ISTF award provides a single financial grant which helps students from low-income families to pay for their educational costs. The program supports students who need financial assistance by funding their educational expenses until they complete their studies.

The deadline for submission is April 25, 2026, and late applications will not be considered. The selection process will begin with the evaluation of shortlisted candidates, who will advance to the next stage of assessment.
