Malaysia, Turkiye to Set Up Joint Institute, Scholarships

The two countries have decided to create a joint academic institute which will provide scholarships to students from Malaysia and Türkiye as a way to enhance their higher education partnership. The plan was introduced to support existing educational and research and cultural exchange programs between the two countries.

The proposed institute will operate as a shared platform where academic programs and research work and knowledge exchange will occur between institutions from both countries.

The collaboration's main achievement expands scholarship possibilities through programmes which already provide international student support at undergraduate and postgraduate and doctoral levels through Türkiye Scholarships.

The scholarships provide complete funding for tuition costs and monthly stipends and housing expenses and medical coverage and travel costs which makes them extremely appealing to students who want to study abroad. The improved collaboration will provide more study abroad opportunities to Malaysian students while Turkish students will gain better access to academic programs in Malaysia.

The joint institute serves as an innovation center through which researchers from different fields study scientific and technological and social science and cultural studies research areas.
