The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow is inviting applications for its MRes in Mathematical Sciences program that begins in September 2025. The MRes in Mathematical Sciences is a Master's degree focused on advanced research that students can finish in one year of full-time study.
Students will gain abilities that allow them to pursue a successful career in research, whether in academia or beyond. The program would be especially appealing to students contemplating PhD studies or a role centered on Research & Development in a research organization or company down the line.
To qualify for the program, candidates must possess a first-class or upper second-class UK Honours degree, or a comparable international qualification, in a field pertinent to the mathematical sciences. Moreover, candidates need to achieve a minimum English language score of 6.5, ensuring that no single component falls below 5.5.
The yearly international fee for 2025-26 is £23,100, equivalent to Rs 27,03,508.50. The Faculty of Science is offering an international scholarship of £5,000 for the MRes Mathematical Sciences, which is available for entry in September 2025.
The Faculty of Science International Scholarship for the MRes in Mathematical Sciences is valued at £5,000 and will be directly deducted from the tuition fees. To be eligible, students must enrol in the MRes program in September 2025 and maintain all required eligibility criteria. The scholarship is non-deferrable and cannot be transferred to other entry dates.

No separate application is needed, as all students who meet the criteria will be automatically considered. Each student may receive only one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
Applicants who fail to meet the eligibility requirements will not be considered. All decisions made by the Faculty of Science regarding the scholarship awards are final, and appeals will not be entertained.
Students may submit their scholarship applications until September 30, with funds exclusively allocated to tuition costs. According to the official website, candidates fully sponsored by a government office or embassy are ineligible for these scholarships.
