Strathclyde Opens Science Scholarship Applications Jan 2026

  • Strathclyde offers ten £7,000 scholarships for January 2026 science Master’s.
  • Open to non-EU, self-funded students; deadline December 12, 2025.
  • Selection based on academic excellence; deposit deadlines apply.

The Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow announced a scholarship for the January 2026 intake which includes ten International Excellence Awards worth £7,000 each towards tuition fees for official, conditionally accepted, non-EU, self-funded international students on full-time, on-campus Master's programs within the Faculty of Science, for the 2026 January  intake. The measures will support outstanding non-EU, self-funded, international students.

The awards are for full-time, on-campus Master's programmes within the Faculty of Science. Selection is firstly competitive, on the basis of academic excellence and will also consider relevant extracurricular or professional achievements. Applications for the awards will be evaluated on a rolling basis until they are exhausted.

Candidates eligible to apply must be holding an offer of admission for a Postgraduate Taught Master's degree starting in January 2026 and must be fully self-funded, unless a government or embassy scholarship fully funds the Master's degree. The application deadline is December 12th, 2025. Notification of success will be notified within four weeks of the application deadline.

An applicant that is selected for an award must also be able to accept the deposit payment conditions: November 14th 2025 for applicants with offers in September or October 2025; December 14th 2025 for applicants with offers in November 2025; and within 14 days for applicants with offers in December 2025. If a candidate does not pay their deposit in time, their award may be withdrawn. An awardee must also take part in student ambassador activities while studying.

The scholarship reinforces Strathclyde’s dedication to developing global talent in science, as there is an increasing demand for skilled workers in fields such as data science and biotechnology. Potential students can find information about how to apply at strath.ac.uk/studywithus/scholarships.
