71,000 UG Seats Filled at DU; Mid-Entry Admissions From Aug 8

Over 71,000 students have gained admission to undergraduate programs at Delhi University, the university reported on Tuesday after unveiling its most recent list of upgraded allocations.
As per information provided by the university, a total of 71,130 enrollments have been verified across its 79 undergraduate programs available in 69 colleges. DU currently offers a total of 71,624 undergraduate seats for this academic year.
The university reopened its upgrade window on August 2, enabling students accepted in the first and second rounds to rearrange their preferences. The window shut on August 3. Out of those qualified, 34,069 students sought an upgrade, whereas 35,889 opted to maintain their previous allocation. Consequently, 5,930 students experienced an enhancement in their top choices.
The college verification and payment of fees for this round will last until August 7. Subsequently, the university is set to issue a list of available seats on August 8, facilitating the mid-entry option. This will allow candidates who did not apply via the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) or who did not finish the second stage of admission to access the system.

The mid-entry window is available from 5 pm on August 8 until 4:59 pm on August 10, with a fee of Rs 1,000 for this service. The third allocation list is set to be published on August 13, with the initial allocation lists for ECA, sports, and CW quotas to follow on August 15. The complete admission procedure is scheduled to finish on August 19.
The university has begun its academic session as of August 1, aiming to synchronize with the UGC's academic calendar and guarantee the prompt finishing of semesters. PTI
