BEML Limited, which operates as a public sector undertaking, conducts its business in the defense and railway and mining industries. BEML has established a strategic research partnership with the Indian Institute of Science and Future Smart Industries Development.

The primary objective of this collaboration is to accelerate research and development (R&D) efforts in the fields of defense mobility and green mobility solutions.
