IIT Roorkee, Masai Launch Tech Programmes for Job-Ready Talent

• IIT Roorkee’s E&ICT Academy has partnered with Masai to offer online certification programmes in AI and digital technologies
• Courses will cover DS-AI, AI-ML, Software Engineering with AI, and Prompt Engineering, and include live sessions, hands-on learning, and capstone projects
• Learners will receive IIT Roorkee certification, with an optional on-campus immersion for project presentations and certificate distribution

The collaboration between Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) through its Electronics & ICT Academy (E&ICT Academy) and the online education platform Masai has led to a formal agreement.

This agreement comprises a number of online certification programmes that will sharpen the skills of the workforce in the different fields that will be driven and affected by AI and digital technology.

In the same vein, the E&ICT Academy will create and run courses in such areas as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS-AI), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML), Software Engineering with AI, and Prompt Engineering.

The programmes are designed in a way that they cater to entry-level students as well as professionals already in the field. This includes people with no technical background who are looking for a career change into tech-enabled roles.

The courses will incorporate real-time virtual teaching along with practical, application-based learning. A capstone project will be part of every course, enabling the learners to create a professional portfolio and showcase their skill of employing AI and digital technologies in solving business problems that are relevant to the world.

Certificates will be given to the students who finish the course and pass the assessments by the E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee. The enrolled students will also be allowed to take part in a two- to three-day on campus immersion at IIT Roorkee where project presentations and the formal distribution of certificates, grade sheets will take place.
