IIT Delhi Launches 6-Month Agentic AI Certificate Courses

IIT Delhi introduces a six-month Executive Certificate in Agentic AI Systems, covering autonomous agents, multi-agent frameworks, enterprise deployment and AI security through practical projects.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through its Continuing Education Programme (CEP), has launched the Executive Certificate in Agentic AI Systems (Foundation to Deployment), a six-month programme designed to help professionals develop and deploy autonomous artificial intelligence solutions for enterprise applications.

The programme focuses on technologies that enable AI systems to reason, plan, retrieve information, use external tools and coordinate actions to complete tasks. Unlike conventional generative AI applications that primarily create text and other content, agentic AI systems can manage complex workflows with varying levels of autonomy, while requiring appropriate security measures and human oversight.

The curriculum covers large language models (LLMs), autonomous AI agents, multi-agent orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and production deployment. Participants will explore frameworks and tools used to design, coordinate and implement AI agents, including LangGraph, CrewAI and AutoGen.

The programme also introduces AI Trust, Risk and Security Management (AI TRiSM), addressing the importance of building reliable, secure and responsible AI systems. Through practical assignments and an industry-oriented capstone project, learners will gain experience in developing AI applications for real-world business requirements.

The programme is open to graduates from science, engineering and commerce disciplines. IIT Delhi recommends at least one year of professional experience, although the official programme page lists this as a preferred rather than mandatory requirement.

The course is intended for professionals working in AI, data science, software development, information technology and related fields, as well as technology leaders seeking to understand how autonomous AI solutions can be implemented in enterprise environments.

The six-month programme is delivered online through IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme. The programme fee is ₹1,45,000, excluding 18% GST. Applicants should check the official programme page for the latest schedule, payment terms and any applicable application fee.
