JNU Releases E-Prospectus For 2026-27 Admissions

The e-prospectus which Jawaharlal Nehru University published for its 2026–27 academic session contains details about its admission procedures for all undergraduate and postgraduate and diploma and advanced diploma programs.

The notification states that national-level entrance examinations, which include CUET and JEE Main, will serve as the main basis for admissions, which universities now develop through a system of standardized testing.

The BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages and BSc in Ayurveda Biology and certificate programmes will require students to submit CUET (UG) scores, whereas JEE Main 2026 will determine who gets admitted to the BTech programme.

All candidates who want to apply for postgraduate programs need to complete the CUET (PG) 2026 examination.

The specialized programs operate through two admission pathways which include GAT-B scores for MSc Biotechnology and Computational Biology and centralized counselling systems for specific MTech admissions.

The university has established a process which requires candidates to complete two applications through the official portal after they receive their entrance exam results and proceed through the counselling and document verification and fee payment process for seat confirmation.

The e-prospectus also includes international applicant information which shows that their application period starts on April 1 and ends on April 30.

The official website of JNU provides updates about admission schedules and cut-off marks and merit lists which applicants should check regularly according to JNU guidance.

The admission system shows structured transparency because it enables JNU to follow national entrance standards while providing various academic programs to domestic and international students.
