Spotlight Edition - 2022

In the larger domain of human capital, education and skill development has a big role. Therefore, Education is the base for economic growth as well as social transformation for any country. Among all the key indicators of socio-economic development like the economy's growth rate, literacy rate, birth rate, death rate and infant mortality rate (IMR), the literacy rate of the country is one of the most vital ones as the rise and fall of others largely depend upon the country's literacy rate. In India, a high literacy rate leads to a low birth rate as well as low IMR and it also increases the life expectancy rate. So, the importance of the education industry in India can be understood. Nevertheless, the education system in India is much more improved these days and is one of the leading ones in the world. It is also one of the biggest contributors to the economic growth of the nation. Besides various government initiatives, the role of private institutions in the development of the education industry in India cannot be denied. Several Indian universities/colleges/institutions have crafted their name in the world of education through their quality of education and infrastructure. Many of those have won awards too.

Further, India holds an important place in the Global Education industry. India has one of the largest networks of higher education institutions in the world.
