Indian Media Industry has seen rapid growth in terms of its reach, innovation, employability and revenue generation. According to a report by IBEF (India Brand Equity Foundation), the Indian Media & Entertainment sector is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 13.9 percent, to reach US$ 37.55 billion by 2021, outshining the global average of 4.2 percent. With the plethora of opportunities promised in this industry, large numbers of students prefer media and mass communication as their area of study after 12th standard; however, there is a major gap which was noticed by Anurradha Prasad, CMD, BAG NETWORK 24.
