The Central Bank of India has released a detailed notification inviting applications for 275 Specialist Officer (SO) positions in various technology and risk management domains for the year 2026. This recruitment drive aims to bring experienced professionals into its workforce in critical areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data science and risk management, reflecting the bank’s focus on strengthening its technical and risk monitoring capabilities.
The online application process began on February 28, 2026, and will remain open until March 23, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates must complete and submit their applications through the official online portal before the deadline. The bank has emphasized that applicants should not wait until the last moment to apply to avoid technical glitches or delays during last-minute submissions.
Once the registration window closes, the recruitment process will continue with a computer-based examination scheduled for April 2026. Candidates who qualify in the online test will then be shortlisted for subsequent interviews, also tentatively slated for April. The final selection will be based on performance in both the online exam and interview processes.
The 275 vacancies are spread across several specialist streams, including Software Development (Java and .NET), Mobile Application Development, Database Administration, Network Administration, Cloud Management, Information Security, DevSecOps, Digital Channel Management, Data Engineering, Data Science, Risk Management, and roles linked to emerging technologies like Gen AI.

Reservation provisions have been outlined for various categories, including seats earmarked for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, in accordance with government norms. Most posts require a full-time degree such as BE/BTech or MCA from a recognized university and relevant work experience ranging from two to ten years, depending on the seniority of the role.
