Delhi CM Launches Udyog Mitra Portal for Online Licenses, NOCs

Delhi launches the Udyog Mitra portal to simplify business licences, clearances and NOCs. More than 15 departments and 50 services are onboarded, with over 100 services planned next month.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday launched the Delhi Udyog Mitra portal, a single-window digital platform designed to streamline the process of obtaining licences, clearances and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for industrialists and entrepreneurs. The initiative is part of the Delhi government’s efforts to strengthen ease of doing business.

The portal brings approvals from multiple government departments under one digital platform, enabling businesses to apply for required permissions without visiting different government offices. Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the system is intended to simplify regulatory procedures and provide entrepreneurs with a more convenient way to manage applications.

At the time of its launch, more than 15 government departments and 50 services have been onboarded onto the platform. The government plans to expand the system further, with 21 departments and more than 100 services expected to be available through the portal by next month.

The portal also provides applicants with information on the approvals required for their businesses. Users can register their business entities, apply for relevant clearances and monitor the progress of applications through a digital dashboard. The system includes application-status tracking, allowing entrepreneurs to follow their requests without making repeated visits to government offices.

A grievance-redressal facility has also been integrated into the platform. Businesses can use the system to submit complaints or raise issues related to their applications and services.

The official Delhi Udyog Mitra platform describes itself as an integrated electronic service delivery system offering time-bound and transparent clearances for setting up and operating industries. It provides a single point for registrations, clearances, licences and NOCs and is also linked with the National Single Window System for central approvals.

The platform currently covers services associated with several departments and agencies, including the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Delhi Fire Service, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Labour Department, Revenue Department, Department of Trade and Taxes, Delhi Development Authority and other organisations.

The expansion of the portal is expected to bring additional services and departments onto the single-window system, with the government targeting more than 100 onboarded services in the coming month.
