UPPSC PCS Recruitment 2026 Registration Begins

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has begun the online registration, process for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination; most people call it PCS 2026. This recruitment drive is kind of a doorway for applicants who are looking for administrative roles across different departments within the Uttar Pradesh government. If you match the eligibility, you can send your application from the official UPPSC portal during the time period given by the commission.

The recruitment notification gives about 500 vacancies, spread across various Group A and Group B services. The count of available posts can shift later based on extra terms and requirements that arrive from the government departments. Overall the test cycle is set up to find and pick candidates who fit several administrative roles, like in education, labour, and social welfare, plus other state services.

The online application process starts on June 25, 2026 and the last day for paying the fee plus submitting the application form is July 27, 2026. Candidates also get a correction and modification facility which will stay open until August 3, 2026. Applicants are told to finish the registration early, so that last minute issues like technical difficulties don’t pop up.

UPPSC has made One Time Registration (OTR) mandatory for all candidates who are applying for PCS 2026, like it’s required. If you don’t have an OTR number you have to do the whole registration thing via the OTR portal at least 72 hours before submitting the examination form, ok. Also only those candidates who have a valid OTR number can open or access the application portal at all.

People who apply for the exam are supposed to hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, is what it says.
