UPSC CAPF 2026 Notification Out, Apply Online Now Today

The UPSC has made officially available the announcement of the official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
The exam will give candidates an opportunity to apply for Assistant Commandant Positions in five different CAPFs: BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.
The UPSC is inviting eligible persons to apply for the Assistant Commander positions as part of the official notification issued by the UPSC.
The online application portal on the UPSC website enables interested candidates to submit their exam applications. The recruitment application process will end on March 20, 2026.

The official notification contains details about the specific eligibility criteria which applicants must fulfill to apply. The minimum educational requirement for this position demands candidates to hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university together with the associated age limits which typically extend between 20 and 25 years.
The CAPF Assistant Commandant exam consists of two stages: Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The written exam consists of two papers. Paper I includes General Studies and Essay and Comprehension and Paper II includes General Ability and Intelligence.
The candidates who pass the written exam will be selected for the Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination which will lead to the final selection process.
