UPSC CSE 2026 Notification Live: 2025 Interviews Ongoing

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to start the process for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 from January 14.

This prestigious national level competition is held every year to select individuals to serve in elite services like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and other Group A and Group B services of the central government.

Eligible candidates will be able to fill in the application forms online mode at the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in. According to this schedule, the online application form can be submitted until February 3, 2026.

It is recommended that aspirants must finish the application process before the deadline in order to avoid last-minute technical glitches.

Earlier, UPSC had announced the tentative date list of exams to be carried out in the year 2026. In accordance with the dates, the Civil Services Preliminary Exam would be held on May 24, 2026.

Those who clear the preliminary test would be eligible to sit in the Civil Services Main Exam, which would begin from August 21, 2026. The final screening tool in the test process would be the Personality Test/Interview Session.

After the issuance of the formal notification, the following details about the vacancies shall be made known, total number of vacancies, allocation of vacancies based on the services, requirements for eligibility, age limits, education qualifications, syllabus, pattern of examination, etc.

The Civil Services Examination comprises three stages, namely the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Preliminary Examination, to evaluate the candidate’s knowledge, analytical skills, and fitness for the public service. Candidates are advised to read the notice carefully and check eligibility criteria before applying.
