UPSC CSE 2026 Notification Out; Apply for 933 Vacancies

The Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), India has just begun recruiting for one of the world's toughest exams Civil Services of India.

The first recruitment notification of the cycle has been issued as of February 4th 2026 and now candidates can apply online via UPSC's official web portal (upsc.gov.in) until Feb 24, 2026 for this year's recruitment campaign with an upward total number of expected applicants (approx. 933) expected amongst several Central Government’s Employee Categories i.e Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Forest Service (IFS), and other types of Groups A/B classifications.

The organization has reserved 33 job openings for applicants who have benchmark disabilities which include people with blindness and low vision and people who are deaf or hard of hearing and people who have locomotor disabilities which include cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy and multiple disabilities.

The organization will follow government standards when implementing regular job reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) and the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

The selection process will follow the standard UPSC pattern which includes three examination stages. The Preliminary Examination will take place on May 24 2026 and the Main Examination will begin on August 21 2026 followed by a personality interview.

To be eligible for this position candidates must possess a graduate degree and between 21 to 32 years of age with certain age categories receiving age relaxations. The preliminary test serves as the unified screening assessment which both CSE and Indian Forest Service Examination use to evaluate candidates.

The official notification requires candidates to read it completely before they must submit their applications which need to be submitted before the specified deadline.
