UPSC NDA, NA 2 Exam on September 13, Check Full Schedule

UPSC conducts the NDA and Naval Academy Examination II 2026 on September 13 in two shifts. Candidates appear for Mathematics and General Ability Test papers as part of the selection process.
The UPSC is scheduled to hold the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination II 2026 on September 13, 2026. This examination presents qualified individuals with an opportunity to gain admission into the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy to become officers of the Indian Armed Forces.
The NDA & NA II Written Exam takes place in two slots on the day of the exam. Two subjects are tested through the Written Exam which includes Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The Written Exam tests the Mathematical skill of the candidate along with English language, general knowledge, scientific aptitude, and current affairs.

Time duration of Mathematics is 2.5 hours whereas that of GAT is also 2.5 hours. It involves subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Affairs. The examination is held in an objective form and students have to fill the answers on the answer sheet.
Application process for the NDA and NA II 2026 exam has already been done by UPSC. The application process starts in the month of May, and later the application process gets extended till June 11, 2026. Those candidates who apply in the application form can sit in the written test according to the specified criteria.
The National Defence Academy Examination acts as an entry point for the aspirants who wish to take admission into the Army, Navy, and Air Force sections of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. The eligible aspirants are summoned for the interview through the Services Selection Board (SSB). The next step in the selection procedure involves assessing the intelligent quotient of the applicants along with their personality and leadership qualities.
It is suggested that the candidates should strictly adhere to the guidelines released by the UPSC concerning the examination center, reporting time, and the items and documents allowed inside the examination hall. The online admit card serves as a vital document required for admission to the examination center.

The NDA and NA examination takes place twice every year, thereby ensuring regular chances for young hopefuls to become part of India's armed forces. The examination on September 13 thus becomes a crucial step towards getting admission through the second examination of 2026.
As the exam approaches, it is required that the candidates pay attention to revising and practicing. If the candidates gain complete knowledge of the syllabus of mathematics and GAT, then it will be beneficial in preparing them for the written test before taking the SSB test.
