The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has announced a significant hiring initiative for 8,477 non-teaching posts in aided and sponsored schools as part of the 1st State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025.
Available positions include 2,989 Group C (Clerk) jobs and 5,488 Group D roles, such as peon and laboratory attendants, in government-aided schools and sponsored schools throughout West Bengal. The online application period is available from 3 November to 3 December 2025, and the written exam is provisionally set for January 2026.
Candidates should be aged 18 to 40 years as of 1 January 2025, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 8 years for PwD applicants. The necessary educational qualifications are Madhyamik/class X pass or its equivalent for Group C and Class VIII pass or its equivalent for Group D, although some specialized positions may demand higher qualifications.

- Sign up using a valid email address and phone number.
- Provide your personal and educational information and choose the preferred position/area.
- Submit image, signature, and required documents.
- Submit the form and pay the required fee online.
- Download and save a copy of the submitted application.
Applicants for Group C and Group D positions under the WBSSC SLST 2025 need to submit an application fee of Rs 400 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PH candidates must pay Rs 150. The written test is provisionally set for January 2026, with specific dates to be confirmed later, and admission cards will be issued one week before the exam.
