AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 Exams Begin from May 4

The Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) and Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Law Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) 2026 will take place on May 4 throughout the state according to Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) in Tirupati.
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will conduct the exams through a computer-based testing (CBT) system. The current year examination will occur at 100 locations which distribute across 13 districts throughout Andhra Pradesh to provide candidates with extensive testing options.
According to officials, a total of 30,020 candidates have registered for the exams, which includes more than 20000 male applicants and almost 10000 female applicants. The number of registrations has shown significant growth because more students now want to study law compared to last year.
AP LAWCET is the entrance exam for three-year and five-year LLB programs while AP PGLCET provides entrance to LLM programs at universities and affiliated colleges throughout the state.

The examination will be conducted online, with candidates required to appear at designated centres where they will answer multiple-choice questions within a fixed duration.
The test evaluates candidates on areas such as general knowledge, current affairs, and aptitude for the study of law. The authorities established all essential examination centres with complete technical infrastructure and monitoring systems to enable secure examination procedures.
The exam guidelines must be followed by all test takers who need to reach testing centres at their scheduled times. The AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2026 exams will become essential tools for law program admissions throughout Andhra Pradesh because their digital processes have become more efficient and their testing numbers continue to rise.
