The NTPC Limited has begun its Assistant Executive Recruitment 2026 process which allows candidates to apply for 250 available positions in operations. The online registration process started on April 23 2026 and candidates can submit their applications through the official careers portal until May 7 2026.
The recruitment process provides engineering graduates with a major chance to start their professional journey at India top power generation firm. Applicants must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum requirement of 40 percent marks.
Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of experience operating or maintaining power plants that have a capacity of 40 MW or higher. The age limit for applicants should not exceed 35 years and government regulations permit special age exemptions for reserved categories.
The selection process will begin with academic performance shortlisting. The selection process will use a written test or computer-based assessment and personal interview as its second stage. The final selection process will use two criteria which include total performance and document verification.

The candidates who are selected for the position will receive fixed-term contracts that last for three years but the organization can extend their contracts based on specific needs and the employee's work performance.
The selected candidates for the Assistant Executive position will receive a total monthly pay of approximately ₹55,000 which includes their basic salary and additional benefits such as housing allowance and medical facilities and other allowances.
