IIM Mumbai, IIT Bombay launch UG course in digital science

The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai has established a new undergraduate program through its partnership with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, which represents a major transformation of management education in India.
The program offers a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Digital Science and Business Management, which integrates advanced technological training with essential business knowledge.
The program builds student competencies for upcoming positions which need technical proficiency and leadership abilities, in order to meet current workforce requirements.
The curriculum combines modern technological innovations which include artificial intelligence and machine learning and data science and Internet of Things and robotics with traditional management disciplines which include finance and marketing and operations and manufacturing.
The program teaches students from different fields to become "techno-managers" who will drive digital transformation in various industries. Through its strong partnerships with industry organizations, the program provides students with opportunities to gain real-world experience which complements their academic studies.

The admissions process will use JEE Main entrance testing scores as the primary admission criteria before conducting interviews. The course will charge students an annual fee between ₹6 to ₹7 lakh which positions it as a premium undergraduate program.
The programme enables students to complete their studies while they can pursue a one-year MBA program which uses National Education Policy flexible education framework.
The initiative demonstrates how universities today increasingly develop undergraduate programs which connect technological studies with business education.
