The University of Delhi will begin its undergraduate admissions process for the 2026-27 academic years in the third week of May which follows the start of the Common University Entrance Test 2026.
The university will conduct the entire admission process through its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal which operates in multiple phases starting with the registration stage.
Between May 11 and May 31 officials have scheduled the timeline according to the CUET schedule which they have established as their current plan.
The admission process will largely depend on CUET scores, making it essential for candidates to perform well in the entrance examination.
Students must complete subject mapping after results are announced because they need to match their CUET subjects with the subjects they studied in Class 12.

University authorities have advised applicants to carefully select CUET subjects that closely match their academic background because a minimum level of similarity is required for eligibility in specific courses.
The university is developing a better user interface for the CSAS portal together with improved application processing accuracy.
The admission process will become more efficient through the implementation of shorter allocation rounds which will help the process end in time for classes to start.
The university has created a timetable which shows its efforts to maintain a centralized entrance system while providing on-time student admissions and solving past academic calendar issues which caused delays.
