The other well-known instructors at the school are Ash Roy and Shubhashish aka Albela. Ash of Jalebee Cartel fame has an illustrious career spanning over 20 years and has performed for audiences in Germany, Spain, Hungary, India, Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Denmark, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bahrain and many more. Shubhashish aka Albela is a DJ/Producer from New Delhi who loves to experiment with different sounds. He has recently released a new single 'Mantra' with Nrtya Culture, one of the best labels for electronic music in India.
Today, For The Record Music School is renowned for offering courses like Sound Design and Disc Jockey (DJ). As an established DJ, Hilt has divided the DJ course into three modules where the students at first learn the basic gears and their functions for DJing. From thereon, they learn about the basics of CD players, mixing tracks for making better quality and structured songs. In the intermediate part, the students get ideas on mixing different genres, looping effect and the basics of 'Record Box' software. Then in the advanced version students learn to use a lot of software, DJ on two decks, DJ on four CD players using controllers.
All the instructors at For The Record Music School are practicing musicians who have the experience and know-how to give students first-hand knowledge and feedback based on what is currently happening in the space of electronic music production and DJing. The courses have been designed to give students one-on-one attention and feedback during projects and after as well. Additionally, students are supported and given platforms to showcase their skills at some of the best venues in the city. The courses are conducted in three languages, English, Hindi and Bengali to ensure that the student has every opportunity to learn and language is not a barrier. "Music is something that you need to be passionate about. At the same time it has to be enjoyable. So, when someone comes and tells us 'I like this kind of songs', we play a related track and show them how it's played. This is how we start engaging with the probable students. Whereas, if I start detailing the theory part, the connection won't be this quick or smooth," explains Hilt. The technologies and equipment that For The Record Music School uses in the studio for DJ angle, music production are all top of the line latest gears. They teach software first and from there move on to the hardware part. "When we start teaching the hardware, the whole perspective of understanding and creating music just change. The students realize how simple it is. By the time they learn software, they get a clear understanding of what does what. We go over the topics till they understand thoroughly and allow them to practice unlimited times," expresses Pawan Chadha, Director. After completing the course, students can market their music on platforms like iTunes, Spotify or release music on record labels. They get a chance to working with upcoming directors or under directors, music composers to gain experience.
"Media gives tons of opportunities. They can work as interns under directors, music producers in Bombay or at international platforms. They can start working with upcoming film producers working on Netflix or Amazon. Because the students are learning from the best institute, they get innumerable opportunities to work under someone else for understanding how everything functions," asserts Pawan. For The Record Music School is aiming to expand the wings to other cities at present and is also focusing on creating the music/sound engineering courses affordable for aspiring learners. Lew Hilt, Co-Founder
lewllyn Hilt is producing music for 20 years. He started career as a resident DJ and later moved on to making electronic music under his name. Lew, who is known as Kount to his fans earned appreciation from peer artists, DJs and fans for amalgamating intricate patterns and dark, detuned and twisted sounds. Lew's passion for music guided him to two massive collaboration EPs with longtime friend and mentor Ash Roy.

Pawan is a successful entrepreneur and has many years of experience in the business world. He along with Lew founded For The Record Music School and turned it into a business of entertainment. Pawan has travelled the world in places of Europe, USA and Asia for his deep passion for music.
