Azim Premji Scholarship 2026 Revises Eligibility Criteria

The Azim Premji Foundation opens 2026 scholarship applications for eligible girl students pursuing undergraduate education. Selected students receive ₹30,000 annually, with support available for the full duration of their programme.
The Azim Premji Foundation is accepting applications for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2026 for female candidates who aspire to go for higher education. This scholarship is designed to provide financial aid to students so that they can pursue undergraduate studies without any difficulties. This scholarship is specifically for girls going to degree/diploma courses in 2026-2027. Applications for round 1 can be submitted from August 10, 2026, to August 31, 2026.
Selected students get a sum of ₹30,000 annually through the scholarship scheme. As there are various programs that could range anywhere between two years to five years, students can thus get up to ₹1,50,000 as financial aid. This money could be used towards covering any costs related to the program.

Eligibility criteria for the year 2026 include girls enrolled in class 10 and class 12 as regular students belonging to government schools or colleges in states and union territories included in the previous year. For the 2026-27 batches, the programme includes two additional regions, viz., Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, apart from those in the previous year.
In addition, applicants must gain admission for their first year in an accredited undergraduate course or diploma program as full-time students for the academic session 2026-2027. The institute could be any public or recognized private college or university from anywhere in India. The scholarship program does not depend upon merit, caste, economic background, or religious affiliations, according to the information provided by the Foundation.

Students who qualify for this scholarship program must fill the application form online via the Azim Premji Foundation scholarship application portal. The applicants will be required to provide relevant information related to themselves and their studies as well as documents such as marksheets of Class 10th and 12th, Aadhar information, recent photo, and bank account details.
The scholarship is aligned with the broader goals of the Foundation of enhancing access and equity in education. The aim of the project is to assist girls with their education in terms of completing their course of study by ensuring that there are no financial barriers to do so.
