IIM Jammu to Launch Four-Year BBA Hons at Leh Campus

IIM Jammu launches a four-year residential BBA (Hons.) programme at its Leh campus for the 2026-27 session, with around 60 seats and admissions through JIPMAT, CUET or JEE Main scores.

The Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu) is set to launch a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Hons.) programme at its Leh campus in Ladakh, with the first batch scheduled to begin in the 2026-27 academic session.

The residential undergraduate programme is planned with a batch size of around 60 students, according to IIM Jammu’s admission policy for the 2026-30 batch. The programme is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge in management while covering areas related to innovation, technology and business applications.

Admission to the programme will consider scores from the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) 2026, CUET General Aptitude Test 2026 or JEE Main 2026. The institute will also consider Class 10 and Class 12 marks and gender diversity as part of its admission process.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026. The admission policy includes a marks-based component for Class 10 and Class 12 performance. IIM Jammu will also follow the Government of India reservation policy for eligible categories.

The programme will follow a residential academic model with students moving between the Leh and Jammu campuses depending on the season. IIM Jammu’s academic calendar shows that the first semester is scheduled to commence at the Leh campus in October 2026, with students moving to the Jammu campus during the winter period. The academic calendar also provides for a return to Leh for the summer semester.

For the first batch, onboarding at the Leh campus is scheduled for October 23, 2026, followed by registration on October 25 and inauguration and orientation on October 26. Semester I classes are scheduled to begin on October 27.

IIM Jammu’s admission policy states that the institute expects the BBA (Hons.) batch size to be around 60 students, while retaining the right to modify admission-related provisions before the process is completed. The institute has also issued a separate admission policy for OCI and foreign candidates, with international student intake capped at 15% of the approved batch strength.

The launch expands IIM Jammu’s undergraduate management education footprint to Ladakh and introduces a residential management programme at the institute’s Leh campus.
