IIM Rohtak Opens Applications for Sports Management Diploma

IIM Rohtak invites graduates to apply for its 16-month Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management, covering marketing, event management, finance and analytics, with eligibility requiring at least 50% marks.

The Indian Institute of Management Rohtak has invited applications for its 16-month Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management, designed for graduates and working professionals seeking careers in the sports industry. The programme combines management education with specialised training in sports marketing, event management, finance, analytics and leadership.

The programme is open to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point average. Relevant work experience is considered an added advantage. The selection process includes an online Sports Aptitude Assessment Test followed by a personal interview. Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹1,000.

The 16-month course is divided into four terms and includes approximately 910 hours of learning through online and on-campus sessions, project work and industry visits. Up to four on-campus modules are planned at IIM Rohtak, while online classes are tentatively scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This format allows participants to pursue the programme while managing professional commitments.

The curriculum covers sports marketing, digital marketing, sports event management, facility planning, financial management, sports entrepreneurship and data analytics. Students will also study sports psychology, leadership, team management, sports law, ethics, compliance, sports economics and international sports management.

The programme aims to develop managerial capabilities relevant to sports organisations, professional leagues, event management companies and businesses involved in sports marketing and administration.

The total programme fee is ₹7.86 lakh, covering tuition, academic charges, examinations, textbooks, study materials and alumni fees. Additional charges apply to on-campus modules, including accommodation and meals.
