Management Association Revamps MAT, to be implemented from May

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has introduced an updated version of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for admissions into MBA & PGDM programs. Known as MAT 2.0, this evolved version of the exam, set to be implemented in May 2024, aims to incorporate new segments such as current business and economic trends.

According to AIMA's press release, MAT 2.0 has been redesigned based on feedback from various business schools and stakeholders, emphasizing sections that align with emerging trends in the business landscape. Recognizing the growing influence of Fintech and technology in business, AIMA has adjusted the exam questions and structure to ensure that aspiring students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for success in today's dynamic business environment.

Key changes in MAT 2.0 include modifications to the exam structure, content focus, and duration. Candidates will now be required to answer 150 questions within a duration of 120 minutes. MAT 2.0 will be conducted through various modes, including Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT), providing candidates with flexibility in choosing the mode that best suits their preferences and convenience.

Eligibility for MAT May 2024 includes graduates from any discipline, with final-year students of graduate courses also eligible to apply. The examination fee for MAT May 2024 is ₹2100/-. Candidates can select an additional test mode by paying an extra fee of ₹1200/-.
