Synopsis: WBJEEB starts the 2026 counselling registration process for engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture admissions. Candidates can register, fill choices, and participate in seat allotment rounds by July 5.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has started the counselling process for WBJEE 2026, allowing eligible candidates to apply for undergraduate admissions in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture programmes across participating institutions in West Bengal. The online counselling registration process begins on June 30, 2026, and candidates can complete their applications through the official WBJEEB website.
The counselling process provides qualified candidates an opportunity to secure seats in various government and private colleges based on their WBJEE ranks and eligibility criteria. Applicants are required to register online, submit their personal and academic details, and provide their preferred choices of courses and institutions during the choice-filling period.
The registration window remains open until July 5, 2026. During this period, candidates can modify and lock their choices before the seat allocation process begins. The first round of seat allotment results is scheduled to be announced on July 7, 2026. Candidates who receive seats must complete the seat acceptance process within the specified timeline.
The counselling registration fee is fixed at Rs 500 and is non-refundable. Candidates are advised to carefully review their details before final submission, as incomplete or incorrect information may affect their admission process. The seat allotment is conducted according to the approved seat matrix prepared by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of West Bengal.

Students eligible for the counselling process include candidates who have secured a valid General Merit Rank (GMR) or relevant ranks as prescribed by WBJEEB. Candidates who meet the required eligibility conditions can participate in the centralized e-counselling procedure for admission to undergraduate technical programmes.
The counselling process includes multiple stages, including registration, choice filling, seat allotment, fee payment, and reporting to allotted institutions. Candidates must keep essential documents ready, including rank cards, academic certificates, identity proof, and category certificates where applicable, and other required admission documents.
WBJEEB advises candidates to regularly check official notifications and follow the counselling schedule carefully. The centralized admission process aims to ensure a transparent and organised method for allocating seats among thousands of aspirants seeking technical education opportunities in West Bengal.
The WBJEE 2026 counselling cycle plays an important role in shaping the academic journey of engineering aspirants by connecting qualified students with suitable institutions and programmes. Through this process, candidates gain access to a wide range of professional courses and career opportunities in the technology sector.
