Empowering Students through Academic and Non-Academic Activities

Relaying the practical training in management through collaboration with industry partners like ITC, Amazon, FMCG companies and Coca Cola, IIHS is placing students ahead of the horse race for employment. The students get attenuated to the corporate life and culture, and understand the managerial structure in the industry much before their professional life starts. Besides customary management education, IIHS induces entrepreneur skills in its students to unlock their leadership quality and analytical abilities. In future, when the students graduate out of IIHS, they not only become employable at any company but also acquire skill-sets becoming eligible to start their own business. Located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, IIHS regularly conducts interactive national and international conferences for aligning the students’ thought process accordingly.

Offering two years fulltime management program, IIHS has been able to inculcate skills on Energy Management (Oil and Gas), Digital Analytics, Retail,

IIHS’s Value Additions

Triple specialization is a specialty of IIHS through which it offers students to study Dual specialization in HR, Marketing, Finance and IT alongside a sectoral specialization in the area of Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Retail Management and Merchandizing. Involving the students in activities like learning through games, discussions, and paper presentations are adopted by IIHS for increasing students’ life skills.

“Learning while organizing an event (academy event) where students get to interact with investors, entrepreneurs on the commercial business model is a holistic approach by us to teach students leadership. There is a cooperative body of the students taking care of the laundry services of the hostel. Similar to this, other cooperative bodies are there operating on the mess requirements and taking care of the services. We have debate and sports events for students polishing their critical thinking skills and physical fitness,” asserts Dr. Goel. Faculty development happens through research programs.

The faculties are encouraged to participate in research oriented publications. With an average experience of 8-12 years, the faculties have almost 15-20 papers each to their credit. Till now, they have submitted patents which are approved by the Government of India and this motivates the students to collaborate with industry mentors and faculty to learn how to initiate a publication ensuring a good presentable quality and quantity of papers in international platforms. IIHS faculties are in talks with the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) through AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) to conduct research on the new

census survey of the Government of India.
Certified Google digital marketers for presentation on practices and training programs are invited to IIHS campus. Attendees of these sessions are always evaluated thoroughly and later on are given certification, rather than a normal PGDM degree of graduation. The training programs help students to enhance their curriculum vitae which are requirements of the industry today and licensures are capable of entering the industry and facing exorbitant challenges. Students also partake in events sponsored by IIMs and IITs to learn from some of the best business minds of the country. Good production sectors, FMCG sectors, and companies like LG, IIFL, DYFOLAB, SERVICEKART, KPG99, DENAVE INDIA, HDFC LIFE, URBAN CLAP, INVESTORS CLINIC, JARO EDUCATION, PVR ENTERTAINMENT, AXIS BANK, LENOVOMOTOROLA, SIXWEBSOFT TECHNOLOGY, LADDER INDIA, CALVIN CARE, PATANJALI, are constant recruiters visiting the IIHS campus. Students with average marks are bestowed with a salary package of INR 5LPA while students having below average results get jobs worth not less than INR 4LPA and students with above average results secure above INR 5.5 to 6.00LPA salaried jobs.

Adhering to a faculty-student ratio of 1:15, IIHS has faculty members (UG level) having industry experience of 6-8 years, and at PG level with 10 years. Most of them are even doctorate qualified. Dr. Sharad Kumar Goel, Professor & Director

Integrating his 21+ years of industry experience, Dr. Sharad has been able to pave the way of management education in IIHS towards glory. Dr. Sharad completed management education from IMT (Institute of Management Technology, 1981 batch) and served in companies like Amul, Hindustan Lever and Kingfisher in position like the senior executive and vice president. His enriched 35 years of academic and Industry experience is precious in IIHS’s path to triumph.
