Delhi University is expanding its global academic exposure initiatives through the introduction of a “Semester Away Programme” for undergraduate students, which enables them to study at internationally ranked universities.
The proposal, which academic council members discussed in their recent meeting, will permit students to study for one semester at partner universities which hold high positions in global rankings such as the QS World University Rankings.
This initiative provides students with international exposure and various learning environments and access to global faculty and resources to improve their academic experience.
The programme will provide available to specific undergraduate courses which include BA programmes through a credit transfer system that enables students to maintain their academic progress while they study abroad.
The university is exploring various financial support options which include scholarships to assist students who come from low-income families especially those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC categories.
