The University of Bern in Switzerland has announced fully funded scholarships for the academic year 2026, available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs in nearly every field including science, humanities, engineering, and social sciences.
The university site says dates vary by program, with awards covering everything from full tuition waivers, accommodation, monthly living expenses, health insurance, travel grants, study and research funding, access to programs and facilities on campus, networking, and more for education-related expenses.
The scholarships are available to both domestic and international students, and are based on a combination of academic achievement, research potential, and willingness to create and expand knowledge and innovation on a global scale.
Qualified candidates must show strong academic performance in their past degrees, with holders of a Bachelor’s degree able to apply for Master’s programs and those with a Master’s degree eligible for PhD programs. Fluency in English or German is necessary, with acceptable assessments such as IELTS, TOEFL, or similar tests.
