University of Glasgow Offers ₹18 Lakh Scholarship for Indians

The University  of Glasgow, UK, has announced a major scholarship for Indian students who will go for higher studies abroad during the 2026–27 academic year.

The scholarship scheme will provide a financial award of €15,000, approximately ₹18 lakh, to the eligible Indian applicants for one-year, full-time master’s programmes in courses like Banking, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Human Resource Management, and related fields. The applications need to be made on or before February 23, 2026, via the official university portal.

The recruitment exercise will go through two phases. The first round of applications is due on February 23, with notifications due out by March 6, 2026. The second window for submissions is due May 18. Successful applicants will receive notification by May 29, 2026.

 An applicant wishing to join this project for further learning must show excellent academic results at least at First Class Honours standard implicit at levels of over 70 percent, or their counterparts in India. The applicants requested for this project are those who are of Indian nationality paying international tuition rates, and studying at Glasgow in their postgraduate taught course.

Universities that are continually appealing to large numbers of Indian students include the University of Glasgow. Students from India can choose from a variety of courses at the University of Glasgow, with the highest number of students selecting courses provided by the College of Social Sciences and the fewest selecting courses provided by the Faculty of Veterinary, Medicine and Life Sciences and Science and Engineering.

 The QS World University Rankings for 2026 lists the University of Glasgow as the 79th best university in the world. The University of Glasgow provides students with the opportunity to enroll in over 300 different undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Programs available contain bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and PhD’s and MBA degrees.
