Western Sydney University invites applications for its Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships, designed for high-performing international students starting undergraduate coursework programs in 2025.

This scholarship, based on merit, provides significant financial support, paying for 50 percent of tuition fees each session for a maximum of three years of full-time education or strictly up to 240 credit points only.

The scholarship can be accessed by new international students seeking admission to any CRICOS-registered undergraduate program, excluding the Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Nursing, and Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Students who come in via the International College or College pathways are not qualified. Students may submit their scholarship applications at this link: westernsydney.edu.au/international/applying.

Applicants must be international students who do not hold citizenship or permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand to qualify. They are expected to initiate a new undergraduate program in 2025 and need to have obtained an offer of admission from Western Sydney University. Additionally, candidates must achieve a minimum ATAR of 90 or a relative score in their higher secondary studies, satisfy all additional entry requirements and accept the offer by the due date.

Note the scholarship only covers the cost of tuition, not living costs, accommodation, travel, international student health insurance, or other costs of education, as noted on the official website. Furthermore, the Scholarship will cease if the recipient's visa status changes to be an Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen during their studies.

The recipient must maintain a full-time study load of 40 credit points each semester. Any amendments to enrolment, including changing courses, changing study load, withdrawing, resigning or taking leave, require prior approval from the University and approval by the Western Sydney International Scholarship Team.
