IIT Jammu launches RISE-UP 2026 Internship For UG Students

The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has announced the launch of its RISE-UP 2026 (Research Internship in Sciences and Engineering Undergraduate Program), which provides students an essential chance to acquire practical research abilities.

The internship program requires selected candidates to complete their work in physical locations while partnering with faculty members on actual research initiatives instead of attending standard academic classes.

The application process for the programme will begin on March 26, 2026, and will remain open until April 10, 2026. The internship will occur between May and July 2026 with students able to choose their internship duration which lasts four to eight weeks.

Students who complete the eight-week program will receive a stipend as part of their eligibility requirements.

The initiative primarily targets pre-final year undergraduate students and postgraduate students from institutions other than IIT Jammu, with preference given to candidates possessing strong technical or programming skills.

The programme provides participants with access to advanced laboratories which research facilities that enable them to work on existing projects with assistance from professional researchers.

The program aims to develop research abilities through practical training while supporting students to create new ideas and develop a strong research environment.

Interns will develop both academic and professional skills through their active involvement in solving problems and working with others.

RISE-UP 2026 provides students with a complete research experience which enables them to investigate possible science and engineering fields while developing their technical skills.
