IIT Mandi Launches PRAYAS 3.0: 1-Month AI, Robotics, IoT Camp

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi announced the initiation of the Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students (PRAYAS) program. The PRAYAS 3.0 is a month-long residential training course focusing on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
PRAYAS 3.0 will take place on the IIT Mandi campus and will focus on experiential, project-oriented education designed to develop real-world technological skills in students, the statement indicated. Launched by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), the program is provisionally set to start on June 16, 2025.
The curriculum will feature project-oriented learning with practical applications and guidance from faculty members at IIT Mandi. It will also give insight into essential areas like embedded systems, machine learning, computer vision, and IoT integration.

The institute will aid candidates in getting acquainted with Arduino, Python, CNNs, and YOLO, among other technologies, and their final projects will be assessed at the conclusion of the programme. After finishing, students will obtain certificates from IIT Mandi.
“PRAYAS 3.0 represents IIT Mandi’s continuing commitment to building future-ready professionals through experiential learning,” said Dr Tushar Jain, head of the Centre for Continuing Education at IIT Mandi.
The program is available to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, along with diploma holders in engineering. The cost for the program is Rs 62,400 and covers food and accommodation.
