SRCC, EY India Launch 12-Month AI Programme for UG Students

Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has partnered with EY India to launch AI-VIBE, a 12-month programme designed to equip undergraduate students with AI, data analytics and business skills through industry exposure and practical projects.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, has introduced a 12-months-long programme under the EYIndia initiative focusing on Artificial Intelligence. The program, dubbed ‘Varsity for Innovation, Business and Economics, or AI-VIBE', is designed to equip undergraduates for the future economy increasingly driven by AI.

The programme will be offered to SRCC students from 3rd semester onwards and designed to be a blend of technical and business learning. Students will become exposed to new technology and will learn skills that will be applicable to real business problems.

Topics to be covered include machine learning, Generative AI, AI agents, data analytics, financial technology, blockchain, decision intelligence, responsible AI and AI governance. The courses are designed to offer students insights into the technical and business aspects of AI.

In addition to classroom learning, AI-VIBE will feature hackathons, mentoring, industry interaction and project-based learning activities. Students will interact with EY India professionals and AI experts, providing them with exposure to real-life applications and work environment.

The programme will follow a selective admission process. Eligible students from Semester 3 onwards will undergo assessments and interviews and will be required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP). Selected participants will also undergo continuous project-based assessments and a final evaluation at the end of the programme.

The collaboration comes as organisations across sectors increasingly incorporate AI into business functions, creating demand for professionals who understand both technology and business processes. SRCC and EY India said the programme is intended to strengthen students’ ability to connect AI capabilities with business problem-solving and decision-making.

A key feature of the initiative is its emphasis on responsible AI and governance alongside technical skills. Students will therefore be introduced not only to AI development and applications but also to issues surrounding responsible deployment and organisational governance.

The programme is being launched during SRCC’s centenary year, adding an industry-academia dimension to the college’s undergraduate education. It also reflects the growing emphasis on integrating emerging technologies into traditional business and economics education.

Through AI-VIBE, SRCC and EY India aim to create a structured pathway for undergraduate students to develop AI literacy, analytical capabilities and practical business skills, helping them prepare for changing workplace requirements.
