BSNL Releases JTO Recruitment Notice for 100 Posts

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 100 Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) posts for 2026, opening opportunities for engineering and technology graduates seeking careers in the public telecom sector. The recruitment initiative is aimed at strengthening BSNL’s technical workforce and enhancing telecom infrastructure operations across multiple circles in India.

According to the notification, the online application process will begin on June 4, 2026, and continue until July 3, 2026. Eligible candidates will be required to submit applications through the official BSNL recruitment portal. The organisation states that the recruitment drive is part of its broader efforts to modernise network operations and improve technical service capabilities.

The vacancies are distributed across several telecom circles, with Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh among the regions receiving the highest allocations. BSNL has announced that candidates selected for the JTO role will be placed in the E-1 pay scale ranging from ₹16,400 to ₹40,500, along with additional allowances and benefits applicable under company regulations.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in disciplines such as Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation. Candidates holding MSc degrees in Electronics or Computer Science are also eligible to apply. The prescribed age limit for applicants is generally between 20 and 30 years, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

BSNL states that the selection process will primarily consist of a computer-based examination followed by document verification and medical evaluation. The examination will assess candidates on technical subjects, engineering aptitude, and general ability. Officials indicate that the CBT examination is tentatively scheduled for August 2026.

The recruitment drive has attracted considerable attention among engineering graduates and telecom aspirants due to the growing importance of digital infrastructure, broadband expansion, and network modernisation in India’s telecommunications sector. Industry observers note that BSNL’s hiring initiative reflects renewed efforts to strengthen its technical manpower amid increasing competition and rapid digital transformation in the telecom industry.
