CRPF Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: 521 Vacancies

CRPF announces 521 vacancies for Head Constable and Constable posts under Sports Quota Recruitment 2026, with online applications scheduled from October 12 to November 11.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 for eligible male and female sportspersons. The recruitment drive covers 521 vacancies for Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) posts. Online applications are scheduled to begin on October 12, 2026, through the CRPF recruitment portal.

Of the total vacancies, 182 are for Head Constable (GD) and 339 are for Constable (GD). The Head Constable vacancies include 150 posts for male candidates and 32 for female candidates, while the Constable vacancies comprise 258 posts for male candidates and 81 for female candidates.

The online application window opens on October 12, 2026, and remains active until November 11, 2026. Candidates can also make corrections in their submitted applications from November 12 to November 14, 2026. The recruitment notification is issued under Advertisement No. R.II-21/2026-Sports.

Candidates should complete the application process within the prescribed timeline. The recruitment is conducted online, and applicants are required to submit their details, upload the necessary documents and pay the applicable fee before final submission.

For the Head Constable (GD) position, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. For the Constable (GD) post, candidates must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.

The prescribed age limit is 18 to 23 years as on August 1, 2026, subject to applicable relaxations for eligible categories. Candidates must also satisfy the sports qualification requirements specified in the recruitment notification. The drive covers 22 sports disciplines, including athletics, aquatics, archery, badminton, basketball, boxing, football, hockey, kabaddi, shooting, wrestling and yoga.

The application fee is ₹100 for eligible male candidates belonging to the UR, OBC and EWS categories. Female candidates, candidates belonging to SC and ST categories and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from payment of the application fee.

The selection process includes identity verification, document verification, Physical Standard Test (PST), Sports Trial Test and Detailed Medical Examination/Review Medical Examination. A conventional written examination is not listed among the selection stages. The merit list is prepared based on candidates' eligible sports achievements, subject to qualifying the prescribed recruitment stages.

Selected candidates appointed as Head Constable (GD) are placed in Pay Level 4, with a pay scale of ₹25,500–₹81,100, while Constable (GD) posts carry Pay Level 3, with a pay scale of ₹21,700–₹69,100. Candidates should verify their educational, age and sports eligibility and keep the required certificates ready before the application window opens on October 12, 2026.
