DSSSB Opens Applications for 606 ASO Posts in Delhi

Synopsis: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has reopened applications for 606 Assistant Section Officer Posts, offering eligible 2009 applicants another opportunity to participate in the recruitment process until August 17, 2026.

It is hereby announced that the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has re-opened the applications for recruiting 606 Grade II/GNCTDSS / Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts. This comes from those eligible candidates who were applying for the said positions for Post Code 90/09, during the 2009 recruiting process. This re-opening of applications has come in accordance with an order from the Supreme Court on February 27, 2026.

The process for applying online started on July 17, 2026, and those who are eligible for the post can apply online till 5:00 pm of August 17, 2026. The recruitment drive is being carried out under the post code 804/26 for the post of Grade-II (GNCTDSS)/ Assistant Section Officer in the Services Department of the GNCTD.

This campaign is only open for those candidates who have applied in the 2009 recruitment drive in the Post Code 90/09. Fresh candidates other than this category will not be considered for applying to the campaign. Candidates should provide documentary evidence regarding their application in the past campaign, like a copy of the 2009 application form, acknowledgment postcard, or Tier-I/Tier-II admit card.

Furthermore, it has been announced by the DSSSB that no application fees will be levied on the applicants applying under the re-opened window of applications. Candidates have to register themselves online, submit the necessary documents, and finally submit their completed application form before the last date. It is recommended to the candidates that they should read and verify all the information before submitting their application.

There will be two tiers of the selection procedure, where the first tier will comprise an examination in the computer, which will be followed by tier two of the examination, followed by document verification and other phases as mentioned in the recruitment notice.

The re-opening of the recruitment process will bring much needed relief to all eligible applicants whose applications were left pending after the 2009 recruitment process. This will help in providing a new chance for applying as DSSSB wants to ensure that Supreme Court's directions are met and a fair recruitment process is conducted to fill 606 vacancies of Assistant Section Officer in Delhi government.
