IBPS RRB 2026 Registration Begins September 1, Exam Dates Out

IBPS begins RRB Recruitment 2026 registration on September 1 for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I, II and III posts. The preliminary exams are scheduled for November and December, followed by main exams.

The recruitment process for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 will start from September 1, 2026, with the commencement of online application through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The recruitment exercise, carried out under Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs-XV), involves the posts of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I, II and III in the participating Regional Rural Banks of India.

As per the tentative IBPS calendar for the year 2026-27, the recruitment procedure involves different examination dates for Officer Scale I, Officer Scale II and III, and Office Assistant. The candidates will have to make only one registration for the prelims and mains exams wherever necessary.

Examination for the post of Officer Scale I is to be held on November 21 & 22, 2026, whereas the examination for Officer Scale I will be held on December 20, 2026. However, candidates for Officer Scale II & III do not undergo a preliminary examination; their examination is to be held on December 20, 2026.

As far as Office Assistant (Multipurpose) is concerned, the date of the preliminary test is fixed for December 6, 12, and 13, 2026. The candidates qualifying in the preliminary examination advance to the mains examination to be held on January 30, 2027.

Recruitment through the IBPS RRB gives the applicants an opportunity to be appointed in Regional Rural Banks in various job positions. The recruitment process differs depending on the post. For office assistant posts, the applicants are selected after preliminary and mains examinations, whereas for Officer Scale I posts, the applicants appear for preliminary and mains exams. The Officer Scale II and III posts involve one examination only.

Candidates have to apply online for this exam through the official IBPS website. The registration process consists of providing personal information, educational details, and contact information along with uploading of necessary documents and paying the prescribed fee. Candidates also need to upload a recent photograph, signature, thumb impression, and declaration in handwriting as per the instructions provided in the notification.
