ISRO to Fill 462 Apprentice Posts Through Walk-In Drive

Synopsis: ISRO's Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre will conduct a walk-in recruitment drive on July 25 for 462 Graduate and Technician Apprentice posts. Eligible candidates must register on the NATS portal before attending.

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), which is an eminent center within the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has invited applications for 462 apprentice positions through a walk-in recruitment process for its 2026-27 Apprenticeship Training Program. Interested candidates may take part in the selection process on 25th July 2026 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

This campaign involves the recruitment of 273 Graduate Apprenticeships and 189 Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeships in a variety of engineering and technical disciplines. The successful applicants of the apprenticeship program shall get opportunities to learn from practical experience in the area of space research and technology under the guidance of professional scientists and engineers at VSSC.

Unlike the traditional mode of recruitment, in the case of these job openings, no online application forms are being accepted by VSSC. Candidates who wish to apply should appear for the selection procedure in person on July 25 from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at VSSC Pavilion, Karthika Thirunal Government Vocational and Higher Secondary School for Girls, Manacaud, and Thiruvananthapuram.

It is necessary for the candidates to register themselves on the NATS portal prior to coming to the selection process. The candidate shall have to carry the original certificates together with self-attested copies of their educational qualification certificates, mark sheets, proof of date of birth, a photograph, and category certificate, if any. The candidates having availed themselves of the benefit of reservation shall be required to submit valid documents in support thereof.

The selection procedure will be based mostly on merit, with priority to candidates who score higher marks in the relevant qualifying test. The reservation policy that applies in line with the guidelines of Government of India will also be followed while doing the selection procedure. There is no written test or interview for the recruitment of apprentices.

This training program is designed for prospective engineers and diploma holders to develop their practical experience in the Indian Space industry and improve their skills. This training will expose them to state-of-the-art technologies relating to satellites, launchers, and space research, thus improving their chances in the job market in the public and private sectors.

Eligible aspirants are advised to confirm their eligibility, register themselves for NATS, and bring along all necessary documents before reaching the test center. By providing training through its apprenticeship program, VSSC continues to promote skills among young professionals who can serve the Indian space program.
