TNPSC Group 4 Notification 2026 Out for 6,574 Posts

TNPSC opens Group 4 recruitment for 6,574 tentative vacancies across Tamil Nadu government services. Applications are open until November 5, 2026, with the written examination scheduled for January 10, 2027.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) releases the Group 4 recruitment notification 2026, inviting applications for 6,574 tentative vacancies under the Combined Civil Services Examination-IV. The recruitment covers multiple posts across Tamil Nadu government departments and services.
The online application process begins on October 6, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the TNPSC portal until November 5, 2026, up to 11:59 pm. The notification includes posts such as Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant, Typist, Steno-Typist, Forest Watcher and Forest Guard, among others.

The application correction window is scheduled from November 9 at 12:01 am to November 11, 2026, at 11:59 pm. The Group 4 written examination is scheduled for January 10, 2027, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Candidates registering with TNPSC for the first time are required to complete One Time Registration (OTR), for which the registration fee is ₹150 and remains valid for five years. The examination fee for Group 4 is ₹100, while eligible candidates belonging to exempted categories can avail themselves of fee exemptions.
The 6,574 vacancies are distributed across 46 post entries. Among the major vacancies are 2,610 Junior Assistant (Non-Security) posts, 856 Typist posts, 422 Junior Assistant (Accounts) posts and 291 Village Administrative Officer posts. The recruitment also includes Steno-Typist, Personal Clerk, Forest Watcher, Forest Guard and other positions.
Educational qualifications vary according to the post. Several positions require candidates to have passed Class 10, while certain specialised posts require higher educational or technical qualifications. Candidates must therefore check the post-specific eligibility requirements before submitting their applications.

The TNPSC Group 4 selection process consists of a written examination followed by document verification and counselling. There is no interview for the posts covered under the Group 4 recruitment. Candidates are advised to carefully review the official notification for post-wise qualifications, age requirements, reservation provisions, and syllabus and examination pattern before applying.
The recruitment provides opportunities across ministerial, revenue, forest, local administration and other government services. Candidates who meet the prescribed requirements can complete their applications through the official TNPSC portal within the specified deadline.
