CLAT PG 2027 Registration Opens August 3, Exam on Dec 6

Synopsis: The Consortium of National Law Universities will conduct CLAT PG 2027 on December 6. The online application process begins on August 3 and closes on October 31, with the exam serving as the gateway to LL.M. admissions and PSU legal recruitment.

Schedule for the CLAT PG 2027 has been announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). The CLAT PG 2027 is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2026. The exam will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Application process for the exam will be started from August 3, 2026, and end on October 31, 2026.

CLAT PG is the national entrance test that serves as the entry test for one year LL.M programs conducted at various National Law University in India. Apart from serving as the entry test for postgraduate law programs, CLAT PG is also accepted by various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in order to recruit suitable candidates in various legal roles.

According to the notice, the eligible candidates shall be able to apply on the website of the Consortium once the registration process opens. The process entails that candidates should register online, fill the application form by providing their personal and academic information, select the examination center, attach all the required documents, and pay the application fee online. It is suggested that candidates make sure that the information they provide is correct and save a copy of the confirmation page.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Consortium has stated that there would be no changes in CLAT 2027 exam syllabus and pattern in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This will definitely help aspirants continue with their preparations for the examination in the same way.

The exam schedule was finalized at the meetings of the Consortium’s Executive Committee and Governing Council conducted on July 18, 2026 after taking into consideration the recommendations of the CLAT Expert Committee. The notification regarding the exam schedule was published on July 22, 2026. Further details on counselling, admissions, etc. will be announced separately.
