Ambedkar Univ Delhi Adds Courses, 1-Year PG Programmes

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has announced a major expansion of its academic offerings for the 2026–27 sessions, introducing five new courses along with a set of one-year postgraduate (PG) programmes.
The National Education Policy 2020 requirements which demand institutions to provide students with flexible learning paths and interdisciplinary education together with multiple academic pathways drove this decision. The university aims to expand its academic programs through new specialized industry-focused educational pathways that will help students develop their skills.
The university offers new postgraduate programs which include MA programs in Creative Writing and Performing Arts. The university has introduced two new undergraduate programs which are BA degrees in Museology and Culture and Heritage Management and BA degrees in Visual Arts.
The mathematics program has created a BSc Mathematics degree which includes Data Science and Artificial Intelligence as a minor field of study to teach students emerging technological skills.

The expansion introduces one-year postgraduate programs which teach seven primary subjects of study that include psychology, English, Hindi, economics, sociology, history and political science. The programs require students to complete their four-year undergraduate degree program before they can begin their postgraduate studies.
Students can select between one-year and two-year postgraduate programs because both options will be available to them based on their educational history and professional objectives.
University officials have emphasized that this initiative will improve academic flexibility while encouraging students to study multiple disciplines and develop educational programs that match emerging industry and research requirements.
The university demonstrates its commitment to academic improvement through the introduction of new courses and one-year PG programs which will enhance student opportunities in the upcoming academic year.
