The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani received a major financial aid boost through an alumni-funded endowment which will provide student support and increase scholarship funding.

Alumni have pledged approximately $4 million (around ₹36 crore) which becomes one of the largest individual donations to the institution. The funding will help the university expand its efforts to provide high-quality education to students who need financial support.

The endowment will primarily be used to provide scholarships and financial assistance to students who need support to pay their tuition expenses. The program supports the institute's objective to expand educational access through economic-based talent assessment.
