Delhi to Provide Free JEE, NEET Coaching to Students

The Delhi government launches a free JEE and NEET coaching initiative for meritorious Class 12 government school students, providing expert guidance, study material, mentoring and test preparation at no cost.

Government of Delhi has come up with a plan to provide free coaching for students studying in class 12th in government schools to help them prepare for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The move is aimed at assisting meritorious students from poor economic backgrounds in getting admissions in prestigious colleges of engineering and medicine through quality coaching.

The program will be conducted through the Directorate of Education (DoE), and it is anticipated that it will be beneficial for meritorious students with a good academic record who would like to become engineers or doctors. The objective of this program, as stated by the government, is to ease the financial burden of high-cost private coaching and provide all deserving students equal opportunity to compete at the national level.

These selected candidates will be offered comprehensive academic assistance in the form of expert tutoring in classrooms, study materials, mock tests, clearing doubts sessions, and personal mentorship. This curriculum has been formulated keeping in mind the improvement of conceptual clarity in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for JEE hopefuls, while for NEET hopefuls it includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

It is also part of the larger plans made by the Delhi government in terms of providing education opportunities and improving results in competitive exams. Over the past few years, many schemes have been announced by the Delhi government to help students prepare for competitive exams, and this has been done keeping in mind the financial barriers of the students. It has been said that the new scheme has been developed in line with these initiatives for helping the Class 12 students in particular.

According to the administrators of education, this project will play a major role in bridging the chasm that exists between school-level education and preparation for competitive exams. In addition, it is hoped that this project will increase the number of students from government schools who join top institutions such as IITs, NITs, and prominent medical colleges.

Through its policy of providing coaching, mentoring, and academic facilities free of cost, the Delhi government has sought to build an inclusive learning environment that facilitates access to higher education for meritorious students on the basis of merit. It is indicative of the continued effort of the government in ensuring educational equality, exam preparation, and equal opportunities for all kinds of students.
